Tafheem-ul-Qur'an

This is a great website for commentary on the Qur'an.

It's an English translation of the work by Abul Ala Maududi called Tafheem-ul-Quran.

It's easy to use the website, you can choose the surah and the ayat on the top. And also if you click on any of the Arabic it will recite it for you too.

This website has been my companion all throughout Ramadan along with a hard copy of the Qur'an I have with English translation as well. But I prefer the commentary by Maududi.

Anyways, Insh'Allah we can all still benefit from all the scholars who have worked so hard to provide us with understanding and commentary about the Qur'an.

Thanks for sharing it..

I've been looking for some Maududi's tafseer online as well.

No problem.

I really like Maududi sahib's straight-forward commentary.

After your link, I did some research and found out this site:
http://www.englishtafsir.com/

It gives alot more explanation seemingly done by Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi, Every chapter has explanations on Name, Period of Revelation, Theme and Subject Matter, etc.

Plus all these things are available for download as well..

thanks for the link! i'll check it out.

i'm glad i found out about Maududi, i was only introduced to his work few months ago and even that was on cd. it was funny because my urdu is just average (i can't read or write it) so first the cd had an arabic recitation of a verse, then an urdu translation of that verse, then maududi's urdu commentary of the verse, and then it was translated to me into plain urdu lol.

Maududi's commentary really does explain the verses clearly and in simple terms. I really enjoy reading it.

Thx:)
